High-Temperature Filtration in Cement and Lime Production

Cement and lime production processes generate high-temperature gas streams containing significant levels of particulate. These environments present demanding conditions for filtration systems, requiring reliable operation under elevated temperature and dust loading.

Cooling introduces additional complexity and increases the risk of condensation, which can lead to filter blinding and unstable pressure drop. In high-temperature environments, spark carryover can also present a fire risk in combustible filter media.

Frequent media replacement and maintenance intervention can reduce system reliability and increase operating costs in continuous process environments.

Ceramic Filtration for Kiln Gas Streams

Ceramic hot gas filtration provides a proven alternative for high-temperature applications. Ceramic filter media can withstand temperatures up to 1000°C, allowing filtration to take place without gas cooling.

The ceramic media is non-combustible and designed to capture sub-micron particulate using surface filtration. This enables high filtration efficiency while maintaining stable pressure drop during operation.

This approach removes common failure modes associated with fabric filters and provides consistent performance in high-temperature, dust-laden gas streams.

Operational Integration and Plant Benefits

Ceramic filtration systems can be applied to high-temperature process gas streams where reliable particulate removal is required. Systems are designed for continuous operation and can be integrated into existing plant configurations.
