Results

In Lancashire at Johnson Matthey Fine Chemical works expansion of the catalysts used in vehicle emission reduction systems required a further hot gas ceramic filter system for environmental protection.

A new conditioning oven with the associated equipment was to be installed in 2011, Glosfume were asked to provide a ceramic filter as the hot gas ceramic filter was considered to be the best available technology (BAT) for flue gas abatement.  The environment required protection from extremely low levels of potentially toxic materials, these are completely removed by the hot gas filtration system supplied and installed by Glosfume.

The filter designs were limited by the available space, as a result the largest single pod system containing 880 ceramic one metre ceramic elements was produced by Glosfume.  The filter was delivered almost complete with mechanical installation completed in a morning.
