Solution

8 Glosfume 440 element filter systems fitted with mineral elements

Benefits

Systems are able to be transported in standard shipping container

Removed all emissions from gas stream

Utilisation of heat to be used in nearby processes including sterilisation of medical equipment

Results

A UK based incinerator manufacturer required the use of Glosfume hot gas filters to remove particulate and toxic emissions from eight medical waste incinerators provided to the United Nations for installation in Ethiopia.

The Glosfume filter systems supplied were all standard 440 element pods fitted with mineral elements and a double hot gas filtration pod for the final larger incinerator.  The filters were all built in 2018 with all filtration equipment factory tested (FAT) before containerised shipping with the incinerators to Ethiopia. The system was successfully transported, installed and commissioned on site enabling the safe disposal of medical waste whilst enabling sterilisation of medical equipment.
